Hi, I’m Gail, a music writer/researcher based in London. My subject focuses lie in music archives, sound and the environment, jazz & improvisation, and various offshoots from there.

I’m a regular writer for Jazzwise, and have written freelance articles for The Quietus, Clash, and It’s Freezing in LA!, as well as liner notes for Gearbox Records.

I currently work as a music cataloguer at the British Library & have had the pleasure of working on the collections of John Stevens, Sun Ra, and Cullen Maiden.
